From an estate collection scent bottle collection, we're offering this magnificent old Floral Gilt Dore Mounted French Glass Scent or Perfume Bottle. I suspect it might be a Baccarat piece, based on other examples I've seen. Whether this is Baccarat or other, it is certainly an exceptional quality cut glass item. It measures 5 3/4" H x 3 1/2" W x 1 3/8" D. The bottle has beautifully tapered shoulders and the stopper has a prism cut. The bronze mount is just spectacular. It has blooming lilies on the front and the back, and the sides have flower buds. Overall, this has a very art nouveau flare. Surprisingly, neither the glass or mounting are marked. The mount on the neck is loosely in place and can easily be glue mounted if desired. Other than some tiny little nicks to the end of the stopper, this mounted scent bottle is in superb condition. This is an absolute must have for any serious collector.
