Lovely older pair of Italian Faience Pottery Covered Bowls. These have a grapevine and leaf motif and are all completely hand made. Each piece of clay is hand applied and detailed. Both have an ivory glaze and are impressed Italy on the base. These measure approximately 5" in height x 5" in diameter. They are in overall very good condition, however, they do have a few nicks here and there as well as a little break in one of the many vines. One bowl has some traces of aqua glaze on an edge, and the other bowl has a crack on one rim edge, as shown. Because of the way these bowls were hand made, there are some firing lines.
