Vintage Faience Redware Pottery Covered Bucket (Item #P200) Price: $75 This is a charming old redware pottery ice bucket with a colorful faience design. The handles and knob have a reddish glaze and there is a wicker handle. The bucket works well as a covered jar by removing the handle. This is unmarked and looks either Mexican or European to me. It has a lovely Old World look and feel to it. The knobs do have a lot of wear and roughness. There's a small crack on the inside edge as shown, but it doesn't seem to show on the exterior. The underside of the lid does have the usual roughness, glaze nicks/wear found on these old redware pots. Nothing out of the ordinary. This piece is probably circa 1940's or so. It measures approximately 7" tall to the rim, with a base diameter of 6".Free Domestic Shipping! |
