Rare Art Nouveau Gouda Pottery Metal Mounted Bowl

This is a very interesting old Gouda pottery example. The bowl is mounted with hand wrought metal on the rims and it has two ring handles. A fantastic piece! It measures 8" in diameter by 4" in height. The bowl is very nicely decorated and well marked on the base. There are two very light stress marks on one side, probably from the mounting process and one a little more visible as shown. In all cases, you really have to look hard to see these lines. The bowl is otherwise in beautiful condition. No crazing or damage of any sort. The lavender color has a crackling "effect" revealing the blue glaze beneath it. This is not crazing.
