Wonderful old Haviland Limoges rectangular covered vegetable dish in an Autumn-like pattern. The pattern consists of yellow and orange flowers with olive colored leaves. It measures 10 1/2" from handle to handle, 6" wide and 3" deep. The lid bears the mark #17 (1879-1889) and the base bears the marks # 17 and #9 (1888-1896). Both are numbered 359 in red hand writing. The base of the dish has a faint impressed English Registry mark under the glaze. This is a very heavy porcelain type, bright white, and in excellent condition, apart from a small inner rim nick on the lid, as pictured. A gorgeous early porcelain serving piece! (PC359)
