Gorgeous set of 6 dessert plates by Limoges Lazeyras, Rosenfeld & Lehman ( L. R. & L). This firm is a noted decorating firm and their marks are found on very decorative china. Refer to p. 352 of Mary Frank Gaston's Encylopedia of Limoges III Edition for more information on this firm. Plates are scalloped with thick gold splashed edges, and feature beautiful pink and white flowers with white overpainted accenting. The plates are beautifully embossed around the edges which adds a lot of depth and dimension really setting the flowers off. So pretty! Plates measure 6 3/4" in diameter. All are in perfect condition. No chips, cracks or damage. Four of the plates have two backstamps. One L R & L mark #1 in blue (ca. 1920's) and a Limoges France Bird/Banner mark in green. (This is Mark #1 for Charles Martin after 1891). The other 2 plates just have the L R & L blue mark #1. Bowls in this size/similar style list for $75 each. This is a beautifully decorated set. (PC207)
