Nice old Japanese black lacquer box with bird/branch decoration in gold. Interior of box has a reddish lacquer with gold dust. Slight loss to lacquer finish but overall beautiful condition. One bottom corner edge of the lid has a shallow chip just resulting in some gold lacquer loss. Very minor. Some hairline cracks on base as shown. Measures 9 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide x 1 3/8" tall. A wonderful old box!
