Fine old authentic carved Chinese Cinnabar Dress Clip. Probably circa 1930's. Prong set on silver frame. Hallmarked China. Measures 2" x 1 1/2". A little wear to carving, but nothing very noticeable. This is an intricately carved old pieced that will enhance your collection.Cinnabar is formed by a process of applying several layers of lacquer to a wooden surface. The lacquer itself is is made from beetles and the red color comes from the mineral Cinnabar.
