This is an outstanding contemporary studio art glass vase, dated 1981. The swirls in the glass are wavelike with splashes of color and an overall shimmery irridescence. The vase measures 5 1/2" tall and is equally as wide. The bottom has a wide/elongated polished surface and is signed/dated. The artist's signature looks Scandinavian, probably Finnish. I purchased this from a collection that included pieces by Mark Matthews, Josh Simpson and Mark Peiser. Excellent condition. No damage. This is a unique creation that will be outstanding in any fine art glass collection.
