A delightful early original old oil on board painting. Tranquil scene of a a sailboat on the lake with birch trees in the foreground and the tree lined shoreline in the background. Beautifully painted, unsigned. This is clearly an older painting. Based on others that I've handled on this type of board, I'd estimate it to be circa 1910-1920. It measures 12" x 6". It looks great just leaning on a ledge. This once had a frame, as evidenced by the slightly lighter edges and minor groove lines. The overall condition is very good, with a couple of minor spots of wear to the painting and a two minor indentations near the sailboat.
