This is a wonderful early Victorian Framed Beadwork example. I estimate this to be circa 1880's to turn of the century. This has a hook on the back and is ready to hang! It measures approx. 9" x 7 1/2". The beadwork surrounds a religious print in the center. It is framed behind bubble glass and the outer edges of the oval frame are further adorned with additional beadwork. There is a small amount of missing white beads in the inner scalloped strand on the exterior of the frame, but nothing that detracts. There are no loose beads. All beads are strung with wire. The backing to the frame is sewn on by hand. The print does have some vintage water marks or marks that you typically see on old paper when it is non-acid free. The beadworked flowers just pop out. The colors are varied. The beads appear to be glass. A lot of work went into the making of this treasure from the past. Don't miss out on the opportunity to add this to your collection.
