Here's a wonderful old framed "Cattleya Harrisoniae" (Orchid) original print from the hand colored lithograph by Joseph Paxton, (1803-1865). This is a listed print from Paxton's Magazine of Botany and Register of Flowering Plants (Vols. I - V). The front of the print is dated December 8, 1837. The print itself measures approx. 6 1/4" x 9". With the matting and frame, it measures 11" x 14", and framed, it measures 12 1/2" x 15 3/4". The matting is matte black with gold hand drawn accent lines. Gold gilt gesso frame shows normal wear, especially to corners. Glass has some small oval bubble like formations in it.
