This is a fine antique pair of early bronze French Empire candlesticks with hoofs. Every aspect of these metal masterpieces displays ornate detailing and fine quality workmanship. Beautifully decorated with impressive chased ornaments. Each is signed with a star, and the initials A.D. The candlesticks measure 10 1/4" - 10 1/2". There is a slight height variation. They are in overall very good condition. All of the hardware is original, and the candle holder tops unscrew from the bases. There is some bright green residue on the candle holders, that I think might be from a candle, but I'm not positive. I tried to wipe one with soapy water, but was not able to clean it that way. I will leave the cleaning to you, or you may probably want to leave them as is. A unique old pair!Free Domestic Shipping!
