Vintage Tall Prism Table Lamps (Item #L143) Price: Please Inquire Stunning pair of French Regency Waterfall Prism Lamps. The base of each lamp is footed with a full mask of Bacchus on each foot and a Renaissance female face on all four sides. Of course, Bacchus is known as the god of wine and intoxication in Roman mythology, thus the grapes and vine motif on the middle pedestal. The lamps rest on a white marble plinthes. The bodies of the lamps have shimmery diamond point cut/pressed glass bowls. The center of the lamps are adorned with three elongated wheel cut glass cylinders from which three brass tiers of waterfalls drape with shimmery crystals. The lamps measure 7 1/2" square at the base/footing and stand 28" tall (to the top of the light socket) and 38 1/2" tall (to the top of the finial on the harp). These have white two prong electrical cords and are in good working order. There is a turn switch on each socket. Other than a few strands of missing prisms, these lamps are in spectacular condition. The metal bases are impressed with the number 1693 and the letter "W" as shown. The marble is stamped with some illegible wording in black. There is some age oxidizing on the brass stems (beneath the glass cylinders) that you could have cleaned or lacquered, but the lamps still look dazzling as is. Free Domestic Shipping! |
