Leo Feist Military Band Sheet Music - At Sundown (Item #BK170) Price: Please Inquire Rare early Full Military Band sheet music published in 1927 by Leo Feist, NY. This contains all of the individual sheet music for the orchestra. There are 22 musical sheets for the song "At Sundown" Words and Music by Walter Donaldson. Each muscial sheet is for the corresponding instrument. From what I understand, Leo Feist's son sold his father's publications/collections to the Library of Congress, making these early/original editions quite hard to find. These are all hand numbered 427 in red pencil. All 22 sheets are in excellent condition. The envelope reads "Feist Edition Band Arrangements are carefully prepared to give you the best results under almost any cirucmstance in which you may be placed as regards your instrumentation--they are arranged by the best talent, intelligently cued, free from errors and finely printed on the best paper. The instrumentation is worthy of note, being the largest of any popular edition and includes parts for five Saxophones. Another feature in recent editions is the separation of the 2nd and 3rd clarinet parts, avoiding the overcrowding of these parts as was formerly the case". "Note the Instrumentation: Piccolo (or Flute), Eb Clarinet, Oboes, (2) Solo--1st Bb Clarinet (3) 2nd Bb Clarinet (2), 3rd Bb clarinet, Bassoons (3), 1st Alto, 2nd Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones, Solo Bb cornet (or Sop. Saxophone) (4), 1st Bb Cornet (2), 2-3 Bb Cornets; 1st-2nd Eb Altos, 3d-4th altos, Bb Tenors (2), 1-2 Trombone, Baritone (treble), Baritone (bass), Bb Bass, 3rd Trombone, Basses (2), Drums(2)".Free Domestic Shipping! |
