This is a framed original chromolighograph illustration of "The Cat's Tea Party" published in 1876 by Geo. Routledge & Sons, London. Printed by Kronheim. (George Cruikshank illustrator.) A delightful illustration of cats in human forms, well dressed and socializing. The illustration is vividly colored and marked in the bottom right hand corner with an h and a W. Notes about the print are on a label on the reverse of the frame. There is no printing visible on the margins. This illustration measures 9 1/2" x 11" framed. (The frame is 1/2" wide.) The illustration is in excellent condition with only minimal fading spots on margins, mentioned as a testament to age, not as a defect. Well protected behind glass.
